the first concert 'lissa attended was an outdoor one featuring the father figure of
folk music, pete seeger. she wore the concert t-shirt she got there until it was in tatters.
growing up in southeastern vermont meant that the mountains
around her were steeped in the folk tradition and her parents' record collection introduced
her to the likes of judy collins, joan baez, the chieftans, and nanci griffith. though her
musical tastes range far and wide, her heart belongs to folk and bluegrass. eli has
brought her to see many of her favorite singers/musicians in their life together. below
